AT & T U.S. customers visiting the UK to benefit from the new 4G roaming agreement with EE. AT & T mission to provide highly data outside of the U.S. have been given an additional boost, courtesy EE. UK carrier announced today that it has become the country's first provider offering 4G roaming international travelers, with AT & T is coming on board as our first partner. AT & T was moving fast: just last week, she signed a contract with Rogers to provide fast LTE data anywhere in Canada is compatible provider coverage. EE does not intend to be limited, or - the carrier said today's agreement is the first of many transactions it expects to announce in the coming months, it shows the other U.S. operators may soon follow AT & T's lead.
The agreement would mean that the visiting Americans that AT & T customers can use their phones and SIM cards in theory (because of differences in the radio spectrum) to use the average speeds of 24Mbps and 30Mbps on the EE network, which will cover 160 cities and towns up to Christmas. EE stated that its UK customers have access to 4G networks when traveling abroad in the first half of next year 2014.
