Twitter Inc. has been forced to nix their "block" function change Thursday after attracting protests from consumers who said that the new policy mandated offenders’ online content. Humbling reversal in one of the most sensitive political issues facing the social network came as Twitter user faced a revolt for the first time as a public company.
Under the short-term change, blocked Twitter user can view the tweet or not the person who he or she is blocked, but the activities are invisible to the victims as if made at the expense does not exist.
According to the re- eliminating policy, users may prevent them from following their harassers or interacting with their tweets. Users also clearly informed if they are blocked.
