Sony, which is well known for its association with Android smartphones, but as was rumored last month, Sony is thinking about expanding its portfolio and may even start a Windows Phone. Speaking TechRadar, Sony has now confirmed that talks with Microsoft.
Sony said, we will continue our discussions with other partners, including Microsoft, as part of our partnership with this company for a wider range of Sony Smartphones that it can be more than just producing phones. "We are investigating this as part of our discussion in the mobile space as well. Thing one uses the same platform and the other is what we are able to deliver on it?"
Just what this means is unclear, but it may be an indication produce a customized version of Windows Phone. It is a common practice with Android, so it would be interesting to not see something similar to Microsoft's mobile platform.
Perron is savvy and understands not only the importance of the brand, but also the value that consumers place choice. We do not want a one to the OS manufacturer, I do not think that this is a promising position in the long run. Glad a lot of good cooperation with Google, we are working with them for a long time and has the maturity level of this discussion, that's fine. Yet at the same time, Google has a direct connection to the competitors.
