Anthony Ditirro a Facebook user from Colorado sued the social networking site for falsifying member endorsements through their “Likes” for advertising purpose.
He complaints for misrepresenting him in a sponsored advertisement for USA Today in Nov 2013 CNET Report and claimed that it was shown to at least one of his Facebook friends despite he never visited USA Today nor did he liked the page.
Complaint accusing Facebook of breaking California's civil and business code number, and says that the class members should receive the statutory punitive damages of at least $ 750 per person unauthorized use of his likeness.
