Microsoft Now Adding the Ability to Pin Modern UI Programs On the Taskbar Upcoming Windows

Microsoft is now adding the ability to pin Modern UI programs on the taskbar upcoming Update 8.1 for Windows process. This is great because it provides the framework towards a better integration between the desktop and the Modern UI. We hear about more ties - ins with the Windows desktop 9 but do not expect too much.

According to Paul Thurrott of Windows 9 will be similar to Windows 8.1 to Windows 8, but has not fundamentally changed the operating system and the Microsoft's only about a year to create a Windows 9 , it seems that Windows again at 9 fundamentally change the OS.

Of course, you can still expect to see a mini Start menu and the ability to run modern applications on the desktop UI, but other than that, we are not really going to see any major changes. This is likely to disappoint a lot of news, and confusing too. Why Microsoft's name for their next product for Windows 9, well, we can only assume that this is to do with marketing.  Windows 8 as the brand has failed, because Microsoft has no choice but to label their next update of Windows 9, regardless of what it is. It will still be sold as their next major OS.

Of course, until we have specific details, we can only class it as a rumor. Microsoft is expected to talk publicly about his plans with Windows 9 in its annual BUILD conference in April.
